This bright coloured concentrated shiraz has a flavoursome affair between plum fruit and ripe tannins on the palate. With spice mix on the nose, the bouquet also reveals notes of mulberry, cocoa, clove and fresh leather. Drink this with roast lamb over the coming years.

Vinification

Finesse and subtlety are our aim here so we do not seek to make a big ultra-ripe soupy Shiraz wine that appear to be the fashion in some circles. The fruit was picked ripe, but no more. Crushed and then steeped on its skins for three weeks.

Bright colour; the bouquet reveals mulberry, cocoa, clove and fresh leather; the palate is medium-bodied soft on entry with ample black fruits, giving way to gravelly tannins and a long and savoury conclusion.
