Out of a sea of aromatic whites and perfumed Pinot Noirs, Shiraz from the Adelaide Hills has quickly forged a powerful reputation over the last 5 years. Finely structured, with intoxicating aromas and elegant structures,  Adelaide Hills Shiraz stands proudly distinctive amongst its neighbours from McLaren Vale and Barossa Valley.

"This wine has been 8 years in the making – when only the best fruit will do, you need to be patient! This style of Shiraz has come from my time in France. I have focused on retaining the perfumed aromatics and using extended maceration have created a supple palate with great fruit depth and satisfying persistence."
Winemaker, Sarah Fletcher

Ample cool climate shiraz spiciness on display upfront here, the bouquet full of clove and white pepper, the dark cherry fruit character and savoury oak emerging as the wine opens up. Quite fine-boned on the palate, the flavours a little shy, the tannin lightly astringent. Probably a wine which will benefit from plenty of air, food, and a couple more years in the bottle.
