Long and elegant, this lean and measured barbera is medium to full bodied and reveals a pungent, faintly meaty bouquet whose earthy aroma of blackberries, briar and dark plums are backed by a hint of leather. Supported by a fine spine of powdery tannins that become more slatey and mineral with aeration. Its pleasing length of black, blue and red fruit flavours is wrapped in a refreshing and almost tangy finish of mouth watering acidity. It is savoury and would suit osso buco.

Broad, stewed cherry, green and red berry fruit characters, marzipan (curiously!), pepper and clove. Soft, broad and juicy to taste. Fleshy, just ripe cherry fruit juice flavours, some pomegranate, a touch of cranberry tang to close.
