This special single vineyard Gris hails from New Zealand’s famous Marlborough wine region. A dry white, it’s full of pure quince, spiced pear, peach and floral flavours that continue to build. Subtle use of oak gives you a layered and well-rounded mouth-feel balanced by fresh acidity and mineral notes. A beautiful drink on its own, otherwise, it will make an exceptional partner to Asian cuisine or white poultry dishes.
Tasting Note

VinificationThe hand-picked fruit was whole bunch pressed and then underwent two fermentation techniques. 88% was fermented slowly (almost 3 months’ duration) with high solids in stainless steel, building weight whilst preserving aromatics. The balance 12% was fermented warm in French oak puncheons. All parcels remained unsulphured on heavy lees until blending in early July, building savouriness, aromatic interest and a strong textural element into the wine.

The Real Review, 25 January 2017
Medium to light yellow colour, with a lifted spicy fragrance, which is rose petal-like and also nutty as if there's a little barrel fermented ingredient. It's borderline gewürz-ish. The finish is very dry and full, the aftertaste lingering well. It has richness and depth and finishes with some alcohol warmth and resonance.

Attractively scented, with mouth-filling body and strong, ripe peach and pear-like flavours. Fresh and finely textured, with slightly mealy notes.
