'Aroha', meaning 'love' in Te Reo Maori is based on two unique parcels of Pinot Noir grapes grown in rocky soils at the Te Muna Road vineyard in Martinborough.

These special parcels, including one of the legendary 'Abel' clone, are selected for 'Aroha' because of their individual expression of the vineyard, complex aromatic profile and sensational savoury, earth-bound texture and length.

Tasting Note
Aroma

Soft on the palate with a mixture or red and dark fruits persisting toward a fine, dry finish. A wine showing great finesse despite it’s firm structural frame.

The Real Review, 27 July, 2019
Intense, powerful, flagship pinot noir with red-fleshed plum, violet, liquorice, anise, savoury, dried herb flavours and a strong influence of smoky French oak. A very impressive wine that clearly needs time to integrate and develop even greater complexity. Aeration is recommended.
