With aromas suggesting dark berry fruit and spicy plums and underlying hints of mineral, this is mouth-filling, textural and persistent from beginning to end of the palate, and finishes with a powerful, long aftertaste. Big, but well balanced and finely structured.

Shows great fruit purity with red cherry and raspberry to the fore. The palate has flesh and succulence with a fine, dry tannin balance. Bourne was impressed noting, “Lots of red fruit on the nose. Very delicate, with a hint of truffle. Intense flavours but very graceful and finishing with fresh acidity. It will grow in the bottle.

Graceful and elegant, this is a beautifully styled pinot displaying complex aromas of red cherry, game, mushroom and floral. The palate is juicy and rounded with lovely mid palate weight and texture, finishing long and silky.

Lightish crimson. Youthful colour. Slightly medicinal red fruit and a touch floral. Youthful, more savoury style with some oak spice there too. Fine-boned structure. Moreish finish. 17.5/20

Geoff Kelly Wine Reviews, May 2013
If you ever wondered what good reputable pinot noir should smell like, this wine is a perfect illustration of what florality means in red cherry fruit. Aromas centre on roses but range from buddleia to boronia, just beautiful.

Very pretty strawberry and hints of spice on the nose. Full body, with medium tannins and a reserved finish. Linear through the palate. Shows tension.

Moderately deep, light ruby-red colour with some purple hues on edge. The nose is elegant, but penetrating with very aromatic, lifted dark cherry and dark red floral aromas along with hints of spices and minerals. Medium-bodied, the palate is elegantly proportioned, showing bright, lively and fresh black cherry fruit flavours with violet florals. Moderate extraction has provided fine supple tannins, the acidity lively and prominent. Fresh herb and minerally nuances emerge from the fruit core, and the wine finishes with good length, carried by the acidity. This is an elegant Pinot Noir with bright fruit and freshness.

Sourced from one of the most spectacularly scenic vineyards in the Martinborough region comes this shiny new pinot which is already showing excellent depth of flavour for one so young. Sexy and fragrant, it already has fruit intensity, power and presence. Buy now and keep for a rainy day.
