Palate
Beautifully varietal, elegant and long on the palate. Medium weight red fruit richness and fine-grained tannins are drawn out long across the palate by acidity to create a finish which is savoury and dry.

A classic pinot with
genuine varietal
fruit characters.
Lovely lifted spicy
fruit aromas and a
wonderful complex
varietal palate that's
more savoury than
sweet and finishes
cleanly.

Beautiful berry

Te Muna Road is nine kilometers west of Martinborough and four hours south of Craggy Range Winery's HQ in Hawke's Bay. It has a cool climate that is well suited to Pinot Noir, as this big, full-bodied example demonstrates. It has powerful fruit flavours, a big smooth body and a long finish. 17.5 Points

Craggy Range produces a spectrum of excellent wines with pinot noir a consistent highlight. The 2014 Te Muna Rd is an alluring wine, with a plush and delicious mid-palate and a friendly, open nature. Fine tannins provide a gentle, supporting framework and oak and acidity are perfectly integrated. It is a wine of intense aromatic appeal and finesse, with excellent pinosity and presence.
