The catch phrase has always been grab a Deakin because this wine offers so much for just so little. This Deakin Estate Shiraz is a perfect match for red meat and Italian style dishes. Super mellow, soft, smooth fruit shouts drink me now.

A simple shiraz, It's a red that ticks the box without a heap of depth nor interest. Some bright red plum fruit with touches of vanilla and scents of bacon hock and char. An easy go-to for a casual sausage sizzle. Drink now to three years.

Medium to full red colour - rather light for a young shiraz - with a tint of purple. Some smoky char-oak aromas, cold ashy fireplace smells. Simple wine; herbal fruit. The wine is light-bodied and soft, straightforward, short and drinks well young despite being a bit callow.

Always hits the mark for current drinking. Medium weight and well balanced with a sweet plummy palate and a sprinkle of black pepper.
