The 2013 is perfumed and bright aromatically with red fruits and spice, yet is a more refined and detailed expression of Sangiovese, think Beaujolais without any oak. Fragrant cherry and currant aromas are supported with floral, spice and fennel accents.

Made in an unoaked, early bottled style; it has lots of wild, forest fruit, overtones to spiced red and black cherry flavours; the problem is that what Adam Foster calls 'fine detailed tannin' rips the mouth out of the unwary taster.
