Gleaming straw-green; first tasted in Mar 2017. Unexpectedly, the freshness and focus is even greater now, the Upper Yarra vibrancy and length more in focus, grapefruit just in front of peach. Almost inevitably, the natural acidity provides the wine with exceptional length.

The Lustia Park Chardonnay has everything you could hope for in a top Australian Chardonnay. There is no artefact. No Spinal Tap sulphides. It's a wine of site and not of design. There are pure aromas of juicy white peach, nectarine and citrus fruits under-scored by a hint of oatmeal, soft spice, almond blossom and perfectly poised, seasoned French oak. It's a study in fruit purity and grace.
