Vinification

Natural winemaking philosophy, while making quality the priority. Minimal intervention in the vineyard. 100% hand-picked. Indigenous fermentation in small open fermenters. Lots of aerative drain and returns by gravity along with regular hand plunging. Once the ferment was complete, the fermenters were sealed with water bags and left to macerate for three weeks on skins.

Suave and brimming with dark leafy fruit, this is a round and plush merlot, already approachable. Blood plum sluices through the wine's juicy mid-drift, a verdant undercarriage reminds of us of the variety at hand. The oak snuggles up and provides a gentle blanket across the warm, generous finish. (Ned Goodwin)

Red fruits, a bit of briar, coffee and earth. Medium bodied, black olive and red fruits, coffee again, fresh almost strawberry acidity, a little chewy tannin, nuts and toffee, savoury olive-laced finish of good length. Nice wine. Balance is the thing here, I’d say.
