James Boden, Adelaide InDaily, June 2018
Hills winery La Linea specialises in Spanish varietals and makes the only Mencia in the area, along with Tempranillo in several styles. The 2017 Mencia is bright and juicy with red cherry notes and firm tannin. This would work well with a pork and vegetable stew.

Halliday Wine Companion, March 2018
Single vineyard release from Lenswood. Hand-picked, wild yeast, 8 days on skins, no new oak. It's red-berried and tannic, herbal and earthen, though mostly it's just itself. It's lightish but nuanced. It needs food, arguably, especially given the assertiveness of its tannin, but it's entirely successful and worth seeking out.
