The Real Review, 20 April, 2019
Deepish red colour with a faint purple tinge. The bouquet is fresh and plummy, slightly coconutty, straightforward and pleasant, while the palate is medium-bodied and has fairly firm, tight tannins that linger at the end. The style is not too simplistic/fruity.

Halliday Wine Companion 2019
Fermented wild, 12 days on skins, all old oak. It's not too sweet, not too savoury; it's as much earthen as anything. Cherry, choc and cola characters make contributions but it remains food-friendly and distinctive, its earthen character highlighted most as the tannin sets in through the back palate. It's a chewy wine and yet it feels natural and unfettered; part of its sleight of hand. (Campbell Mattinson)

A respectful and harmonious tempranillo with intense red fruit and good energy. A savoury thread runs through the wine, and it has an excellent tannin frame. I am impressed with the depth of this wine, but also the restraint. Highly food-friendly.

Medium weight, almost racy in a way, lightly gummy tannins a feature in cherry-cola flavours and peppery spice. The perfume is rose hip tea, sarsaparilla, pepper, green herb. The general sense of drinkability is all here too. Well practised at Tempranillo, La Linea did a great job with this vintage.

Attractive lifted perfumed fruit fragrances and ripe rounded palate that has great flavour persistence, complexity and interest.
