The Blanc de Blancs Vintage is a pure, taut, fine, and bright wine. Its contrasting tones range from an intense, chiselled acidity to the supple lightness of notes of fresh hazelnuts, almonds, and white flowers with accents of acacia, broom, and honeysuckle. This elegant, racy cuvee quickly became the favourite wine of the Roederer family for major family events.

The Real Review, 24 June, 2019
2011 was a 'chardonnay year', in the sense that no Cristal and no regular Vintage Brut were made because the pinot noir failed. This is a very fine, tight, singular blanc de blancs with wonderful palate harmony and a clean, refreshing finish. It finishes very dry but also soft and supple. (Based on the grand cru Avize. 18% wood matured. Dosage 9 grams/litre).

Made from chardonnay grapes grown in the chalky soils of the Grand Cru village of Avize in the Côte des Blancs, this is an exceptionally complex and delicious champagne that combines creamy delicacy with great intensity of flavour. Fresh, wholewheat-wafery, enticing perfume, a gentle prickle of bubbles across the tongue (Lécaillon's "soft touch") and a long, candied citrus finish. As great a wine as Cristal is, I preferred this to drink now. A classic blanc de blancs.
