From the outset, Brut Premier affirms its personality and seduction. The texture is full and generous and, in a fairly unexpected way, integrates characteristics of maturity associated with fruitier and more refreshing notes. Its structured texture, richness, and length are distinctly winey. It is a full, complex wine that is both rich and powerful, whilst remaining a great classic. The freshness, finesse, and brightness of Brut Premier make it the perfect wine for festive occasions.

PalateThe inclusion of reserve wines gives wonderful complexity and roundness to the fresh creamy palate. Champagne Louis Roederer Brut Premier strikes a perfect balance between the structure and fruitiness of the Pinot Noir and the finesse of the Chardonnay.

The true star of Roederer, and by far the cheapest, this is quintessential winter champagne. Three-fifths pinots, some old oak maturation and bottle aged for three years add honeyed richness, butterscotch, brioche and cinnamon, finessed with a cut of lemon.

Seductively rich and round, this is also brisk and powerful. The only Roederer cuvéé with a portion of lots that have undergone malolactic fermentation, this is easy to drink on the surface, while tense and floral underneath.

A firm Champagne, with a finely meshed palate that layers the delicate mousse with hints of smoke and marzipan, complementing flavors of white cherry, dried apricot, salted almond and lemon preserves. Mouthwatering.

(2010 base year, disgorged in 2013) Meringue-like bouquet, not overtly yeasty or bready, but fresh and fruit-driven. The palate is very fine with an abundance of floral flavours; small flowers and spices galore, the palate creamy textured and finishing fairly dry with superb balance. The acidity is high, but you don't feel it. A very appetising, refreshing NV style.

Beautifully composed reduction across lemon citrus, white peach, cherries and deeper, more savory notes of spice and grilled nuts; fresh and complex at once. The palate's assertively flavored, yet runs on a smooth and fine textural thread. Acidity is paramount, redder fruits hold court here. Great balance and depth. Drink now.

A Champagne that harmoniously blends rich complexity with fresh exuberance, you’ll experience divine notes of white flowers and fruits, baked bread, nuts, honey and vanilla, with a creamy mouthfeel, lasting finish and elegant fizz.

This larger Champagne house is consistently exciting in the complex style it shows at often very competitive prices. There’s all manner of minerally, granite-like savoury precision here, the feel that a good deal of reserve wine adds energy to the palate without weighing down its fine, citrus, floral, top notes and crispness. Best as an aperitif, a salivating sipper, but still pour this at dinner and when the fireworks start.
