Mountadam Eden Valley Riesling 2018
13.0
The wine has lifted aromas of lemon and jasmine flowers. An underlying dried herb character adds to the wines allure.
Riesling
The palate shows all the hallmarks of an Eden Valley Riesling. It has lashings of lemon juice characters throughout. More subtle characters of dried herbs and jasmine flowers add to the complexity of the wine. The wine is well structured with soft lively acid carrying through-out the palate and giving the wine long persistence.
Harvest of the 1968 planted Riesling occurred during the early morning of 20th March 2018. The grapes were tipped directly into the press and only the free run component was used to make this wine. Fermentation was carried out with a commercial Riesling specific strain of yeast. Minimal fining and filtration was used in preparation for bottling.
