The Wine Front, 4 June, 2019
Fragrant, pretty perfume, red currants and cherries, sweet spice, cinnamon, faint green herb. Soft and sumptuous roll of flavour in the palate, sweet at the core but, like the bouquet, nicely spicy and there’s a good rub of tannins to close. It’s such a pleasing wine, even, balanced, clean, fine, not overly complex but appealing in every sense. And it dials in Eden Valley perfectly with its medium weight and fragrant, satiny feel. Kudos, Mountadam.

Halliday Wine Companion 2019
The higher alcohol of this wine than that of its Five-Fifty sibling rounds the palate and delivers its message in a more considered fashion. There are layers of sombre black fruits, liquorice and cracked pepper, tannins and oak following the trail set by the fruit.
