Selected parcels of grapes from the best sites of the vineyard are individually fermented and matured separately for 20-24 months in French barriques, the best barrels blended and held in bottle for another year before release. This is a compelling wine, its quality coming through the bouquet and perfectly balanced and long medium-bodied palate. Dark berry fruits, cedary oak and supple tannins all contribute, but fruit is by some distance the most important.
