The Real Review, 18 February, 2019
This is a superb shiraz from Oliver's Taranga Vineyards. Excellent colour depth and density. Concentrated plum and boysenberry aromas. The palate has that hard-to-achieve quality of richness and lift, having concentration and vibrancy simultaneously. The tannins are velvety, and the mid-palate is plush. Delicious.

Knee deep in generosity and pleasure. McLaren Vale Shiraz layered on thick. Nothing but big love for this. From vines planted in 1948, cedar, a dusting of herbs, rubs of earth and charcoal before dark chocolate and dense dark berry fruit take the reigns. If you like 'em generous, here's your weapon. The fruit rolls around the mouth like a big ball of melted chocolate. Tremendous width and length move at ease with baking spices clutching to a long and rewarding finish. It's only early days too - there are years ahead of this beauty. Drink to ten years+

A select parcel that has a more classically styled feel. The oak is a little more prevalent on the nose and the palate has more savory flavors, melded into ripe sweet dark plums, as well as more upright tannins. Drink or hold.

The Wine Front, 11 March, 2019
It’s a rich, plush shiraz with flavour up to its neck. Blackberry, sun-drenched plum, vanilla and toast, with musk and violet notes swanning about. Big fruit and big oak. It’s gutsy, smooth, intense and satisfying. You wouldn’t call it modern, you wouldn’t call it old-school; you’d call it full-bodied McLaren Vale shiraz, with an air of luxury.
