A reliably good expression of McLaren Vale shiraz. It’s balanced. It’s hearty. It’s fresh. Nice combination. Plum, chocolate, licorice and citrus flavours pour through the palate. Perhaps some redcurrant or red licorice too. In essence it’s McLaren Vale shiraz to a tee, chocolate/caramel/coffee notes and all.

Coming off vines aged between 7 and 70 years, a full-bodied wine but not one to clout you over the head. Generous no less, dark fruits and chocolate are framed by fine spices. Touches of caramel and cedar add further appeal.
Great stuff all round - a big thumbs up. Drink now to ten years.

A dark and juicy array of rich plums and blackberries with ample spice and earthy richness. The palate really fills out smoothly and delivers spiced chocolate at the finish. Lovely texture. Drink now.
