The pink capsule is virtually a trademark of Vieux Chateau Certan in Pomerol, but this wine isn’t piracy, just a whimsical jest by the Belgian owners of each winery. This has a brilliantly clear, light crimson hue, and the precision and balance that this vineyard should have been providing long before Jim Chatto was appointed chief winemaker in Aug ‘17, but better late than never.
