This is brought forward into lighter strawberry and boysenberry fruits with a gentle leafy edge and some attractive lightly spicy oak. The palate has a finer thread to it in 2016 with very delicate tannins that carry cherry-berry flavours neat and fresh. Drink now.

Made from a special selection of organic/biodynamically farmed grapes from the centre of their hillside Bendigo vineyard. A very classy wine with impressive density and a complex array of flavours that include dark cherry, berry, liquorice, wood smoke and Oriental spices. An exciting wine that can be appreciated now but has serious cellaring potential.

Good depth of colour and hue. The bouquet is savoury and non-fruity, dark cherry and a trace of Campari; the palate entry is salty and slightly bitter, unusual mouthfeel, with plenty of tannin but not astringent. Fleshy, deep, and fairly drying. A very smart wine. Served alongside several Burgundies, it fitted in beautifully.
