Delicate, fragrant, light to medium bodied but with deceptive power, firm tannins and medium term ageing potential. Light red. Bright nose, really fragrant – juicy cranberries, cinnamon and bergamot. On the palate there is lots of rhubarb and earl grey tea on top of a savoury core – cured meats, stem, sap, and spice. Nice acid cut and grippy tannins.

Palate

Delicate, fragrant, light to medium bodied but with deceptive power, silky tannins and medium term ageing potential. The 2018 vintage has a concentrated core of red berry fruits including raspberries and cherries. It is vibrant and more opulent than other years.

The dried-strawberry and orange-peel character here is so enticing and energetic with hints of walnuts and dried flowers. Medium body, light and fine tannins and a crisp finish. Drink now or hold.

Medium to full purple/red colour. The aromas are earthy, dusty and dried-herby. The wine is bold and extractive, with rather harsh tannins. It's a little aggressive. Big tannins and some alcohol after-heat. A rather stolid pinot with a lot of stemmy overtones, but also perfume and fruit-sweetness. This may moderate with a little extra time in bottle.
