The range of 11.2 degrees to 15.1 degrees baume (only two days' consecutive picking on 21-22 Mar) is extraordinary, as is the result, with no sweet and sour flavours this would normally give rise to. It has plenty of cassis fruit, and it is this, not oak (all used) that gives the wine its personality - a soft, easy drinking style.
