Snake + Herring Dirty Boots Cabernet Sauvignon 2016
Elegance reigns supreme with this Margaret River red. It’s medium-bodied with a stylish union of red berry fruit, floral violet aromas and dense, rich tannins. This is a cabernet with great weight, rich fruit concentration and absolute finesse. If you’re keen to cellar it, try 4-5 years.
The 2016 Dirty Boots is still a babe showing lots of primary blackberry with hints of chocolate, sage, earth and a touch of creamy oak.
87% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Merlot, 1% Tempranillo
The palate structure show the resolution of the Cabernet Sauvignon tannins; creamy and round but with sinew and poise to carry blackberry and chocolate fruit. Medium bodied yet generously fruited, the 2016 Dirty Boots shows great Margaret River heritage with the different subregions working to produce a Cabernet of class and complexity. Letting this wine breathe for an hour or so before serving will allow all the wines nuances to evolve in the glass.
