What a pretty wine this is. And has that come-hither feel to it. Spicy, floral fragrance, cherry-red berry spectrum, medium weight, svelte then a soft, broad and sweet finish with residual freshness in tow. A superb fan of tannin follows the wine. Feels pretty high level as a style.

It serves up varietal grenache in splendid drinking style. So fresh, so vibrant, so easy to hook into. It tastes of raspberry and dry spice, redcurrant and anise. Flings of dry/sweet spice complete the picture, with dry/fine/ripe tannin providing the framework. Easy wine to recommend.

An attractively fresh raspberry style with a floral edge, too. The palate has such crunchy and supple fruit presence. Drink now.

Medium purple/red colour, light and bright. The bouquet is simple and quite herbal; and a bit stemmy, with some sweet lolly grenache fruit as well. The wine is light to medium-weight and fresh, bright, straightforward, with some sappiness in the tannins. Very light tannins. It's possibly unoaked. A good, fresh early-drinking style, albeit rather simple.

Winemaker Notes
Grenache from McLaren Vale has often been overshadowed by Shiraz and even Cabernet Sauvignon, but in the last decade it has become more and more clear that Grenache is the gem of the vale. The old bush vines, grown without irrigation, that are in their prime for making great Grenache are, in our view, among the viticultural treasures of Australia.
