We don't see this blend often - though historically it's produced some of Australia's best reds - but when we do, it seems to have a high strike rate. This release from the Adelaide Hills was co-fermented with whole berries before being matured in large not-new oak. In other words it's not an offcut, it was grown and made on purpose, and the sensitive oak handling has the fruit shining. Hunt this out. It's worth it.

Lovely wine. Drinkability writ large but makes a good fist of complexity. Plum, clove and graphite flavours with a gently jubey edge. Savoury and sweet at once. Well formed. Well shaped. Perfectly put together. Ticks the value box as well.

This works well in the Adelaide Hills and delivers a deep array of raspberry, nectarine and pomegranate aromas and flavors. The tannins are super crunchy and the freshness of the pinot really appeals. Drink now.

Medium to full red colour with a tint of purple. The bouquet is low-key but spicy, fragrant and very appealing; the palate medium-bodied and elegantly-framed, with lovely soft spice and red fruit flavours and well sculpted tannins. Sweet core of ripe fruit. An elegant, charming wine that drinks very well young. And great value.
