Displaying true regional character and showcasing the best that the Barossa has to offer. Lemon and lime citrus blossom, structure and flesh for miles and a pinpoint and piercing clarity of fruit from top to toe. A lovely mouthfeel that is balanced with bracingly fresh natural acids makes this a great bottle of Riesling, it doesn’t get much better than this.
Tasting Note

PalateEnticing freshly cut lime and floral notes flow across the palate, driven by a zesty and zingy acid line. A fine balance of minerality, fruit and acid creates a mouth puckering finish which leaves you salivating for another glass.

VinificationHarvest was carried out at night. The fruit was pressed (using an airbag press) within an hour of harvest. Care was taken not to lose the delicate Riesling aromas and flavour pre-cursors in the juice. After settling, the juice was warmed and inoculated with a neutral yeast selected for its ability to respect the purity of Riesling. Post fermentation the wine was stabilised, minimally fined, filtered then bottled.

Floral, lime and guava
aromas; an interesting combination of citrus
and slightly sweet, ripe fruit on the palate.
It’s got power, strength and a long acid line.

The Real Review, 01 March 2018
A bright, bold Riesling which is easy to enjoy young but also has a fine track record for ageing. Green lime and fresh herb aromas, delicate and yet intense in the mouth, with a juicy core of fruit-sweetness which augments its early approachability.

It’s a buoyant riesling. Delightful drinking. Ripe and cutting at once. Ever-so-fragrant. Lemon, lime and talc. Juice and rind. Mid-palate has plenty of flavour, in a varietal context, but the finish sings out clearly. Tip top value too.

Halliday Wine Companion 2019
Estate-grown and skilfully made to preserve the flowery, citrus fruits of the bouquet and palate. It is from the velvet glove and steel hand school, offering great varietal fruit now, and long into the future. It has the tactile acidity found in a few young rieslings. Grows on you each time it is retasted.
