89% shiraz, 7% malbec, 4% sangiovese. A slightly unusual but thoughtful blend which has worked well. Sweet spice and red vine-fruit with a savoury undertone and a hint of French oak on the bouquet. Just mid-weight, the flavours of redcurrant, cherry, and tart raspberry have a fresh, lively feel, the lightly persistent tannin running through the palate and adding a clip to the finish. Feels like a wine made to drink with a meal. (Steven Creber)
